Hey, Bug Lovers!

There are always some folks interested in natural science illustration. Did you know that Connecticut has its own professional society devoted to this very pursuit?! I KNOW! How LUCKY are we?! You can find them here:  Connecticut Natural Science Illustrators

And they have drawing classes on Saturdays in Orange, CT. This is from one of our alums, Kathy Klucsik (Bateman), who is generously thinking of you!

Tutorials, or, FREE LESSONS!

Hey Y'all, don't forget that the internet is one of the best resources you have for finding some really good tutorials. There are some great step-by-step resources like Dan Santos' website, and others that cover a lot of ground, like James Gurney's "Gurney Journey."

If you want live action, go to YouTube and enter whatever it is you are looking for plus "demo." You'll turn up some great stuff, even at 2 am! So, go exploring. You, and your work, will be better for it!
